Circling Hands

(Friday evening and Saturday)

Circling Hands is an efficient and effective method for developing internal power, health and vitality. This one-movement, repetitive exercise is an excellent tool for engaging, developing and integrating the systems of the body, including cardiovascular, nervous, digestive, cerebrospinal and immune systems.

This seminar will cover the most basic material to the profound, including:

  • Biomechanical alignments for maximising movement efficiency
  • Engaging the cavities of the body to develop internal power
  • Releasing stress and deeply bound tension
  • Connecting the body into one coherent whole
  • Deep massaging of the internal organs
  • How to put this material into your normal walking.

This seminar is complete unto itself and will provide participants with a very useful healing exercise with plenty of internal content to further develop at home. Integrating this material into your normal walking gives you a vehicle to practice anytime anywhere. It will help develop any other energy arts you practise by deepening your internals and preparing you for Sunday’s bagua and Circle Walking course.

Bagua and Circle Walking: Introduction to Health & Power Generation Principles

(Sunday)

Bagua is the oldest and most powerful of the internal arts, creating incredible health, flexibility and vitality. Although the post-birth bagua system is the most widely available in the West, the pre-birth system is the most effective for health, martial and meditation training.

This one day seminar serves as an introduction to the deep internal work of Bagua Circle Walking and palm postures. This is the foundational material necessary to understand, implement and gain benefits from bagua’s unique form of exercise.

Fundamentals of pre-birth bagua will include instruction on:

  • Normal heel-toe and mud walking
  • Straight Line and Circle Walking
  • Changing direction without inertia
  • Amplifying qigong’s internal work
  • Palm postures for developing internal power
  • Reducing stress and releasing tension through Circle Walking.

Paul will explain and demonstrate some of the more advanced aspects of bagua, including palm changes, smooth, fluid multi-directional changes and martial applications.

This seminar is suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners of bagua alike as Paul adjusts his teaching to the students present. He will provide personal corrections and in-depth instruction to maximise your learning potential.

In 2011 there will be an extensive programme for bagua, Circle Walking and supporting qigong material in Germany, centralised in Kӧln. Visit Paul’s blog, www.CircleWalking.com for updates.
