Continuing Professional Development (CDP) Certificates are available at every course Paul teaches on request.
Achieving the real health benefits of qigong requires that both yin and yang aspects are present and in harmony with each other. The yang methods open up your structure and core (ligaments, skeleton and organ base). The yin methods melt the nervous system and muscles.
Whilst it is true that qigong is about developing chi and that softness is a major goal of energy practices, unless the core structure of the body is open, there is a limit to the depth of the internal work. Most people either focus on opening up the body or developing softness; either on the physical form or the chi.
This weekend seminar will clearly teach how to embody both aspects, first individually, and then blending them. We will work on the four fundamental layers within qigong:
- Physical tissue
- Fluids
- Nerves
- Chi
Together they create a powerful method for opening the body whilst relaxing and releasing the nervous system. This practice is excellent for generating health and vitality whilst releasing deep tension and blocked tissues.
Paul will teach these techniques using the modalities of standing sitting and moving, including alignments, tissue stretching, pulsing, breathing and more.
